Horse chestnut, perhaps 250 years old, that is seeded around 1770, time of the French and American revolutions. It overlooks the 'old' North Wales to Chester road. This was carefully graded for pack horses and coaches which could only manage certain gradients. The modern road is shorter and steeper. You put the car or truck into a lower gear without thinking.
